Southern Colorado’s Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge serves as a stopover point for sandhill cranes during their northward and southward migrations each year. These birds are currently making their way back to their nesting grounds in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming - even as far away as western Siberia!
